Owen relishes making complex datasets relevant, readable, and easy to digest. This results in a parking system that works for all.
Owen has over 20 years of experience working in Transportation Demand Management and parking management. Currently the Executive Director of Go Lloyd, a Portland-based Transportation Management Association (TMA), Owen brings together boots-on-the-ground experience with TMAs along with understanding the importance of a supportive parking environment. The two can work well together when managed properly, and that is exactly what Go Lloyd is recognized across the country for – groundbreaking TDM programs that have reduced Single Occupant Vehicle (SOV) trips along with mode splits. Go Lloyd is now a model of how successful public-private partnerships can lead to great things for communities.
As Vice President of RWC, Owen has provided steady leadership on countless projects from Banks, OR (population of 2,000) to New Orleans, LA (population of 400,000). A self-professed ‘data geek’, Owen dives deep into datasets to tease out key findings which have made RWC the leader in robust parking datasets. In addition, Owen is a skilled facilitator of contentious stakeholder groups; able to find common ground through years of experience, while balancing industry best practices with the simple understanding that ‘local values will prevail’.
